Gold coins weighting approximately 1/4oz have been a popular way to own gold since the 1800s. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that the Quarter Ounce American Gold Eagle enjoys such strong demand every year. This phenomenon continues in 2019; the U.S. Mint is reporting healthy sales for this year’s 1/4oz Gold Eagle. If this year is like 2016, well in excess of 100,000 pieces will be made.
